The Story Behind Laker and Lane

Hi! We're Amy and Jody (aka, Laker and Lane). We're both mums with small children and in our pre kids (and Covid) lives Amy was in PR and Jody was working in film and TV. Commuting, long hours, evenings, weekends.. jobs that aren't so great once you have children, or, as it turns out, a global pandemic! A couple of big house moves later and we both ended up in Settle, a small market town in the Yorkshire Dales a world away from our previous lives. We met one day in a play area mid pandemic, both with a bottle of sanitiser, wondering what on earth had happened and what we were going to do. Many WhatsApp chats about home decor and bottles of wine later we had the idea for Laker and Lane.
